NoTimeToWait is a two-day national summit where youth lead and are provided a safe space to engage in niche discussions, skill building workshops, and be thoughtful leaders. Since 2020, the conference has become a powerful movement, uniting young leaders across Canada to learn, connect, and drive change in HIV advocacy. Marlee Liss (she/her) is a somatic educator, author, and sparkle-loving lesbian Jewish feminist. She made history in the justice system when her sexual assault case became the 1st in North America to conclude with restorative justice through the courts. Since then, she has supported thousands in learning trauma-informed pleasure and inclusive consent education. In this keynote, Marlee Liss will go into depth about humane strategies for responding to harm, connecting it to her experiences navigating the justice system as a survivor. We are offering FREE half-hour, one- on-one, trauma-informed intro pole dancing lessons to support folks in building confidence, reclaiming their sexuality, and empowering survivors. Join us for an evening of fun and knowledge building with Sex Ed Bingo! But what makes this event different from regular bingo? The knowledge, special guests, and of course PRIZES. We’ll be laying down facts about how to choose (and care for) a sex toy, safer sex facts and tips you’ve probably never heard before, and some strategies to keep both you and your partner(s) safe and happy. We’ve also got cool guest speakers in between rounds who will give you sex ed information specifically useful to Ryerson students. And, of course, sex themed prizes, like gift cards to places you can buy sex toys so you can use what you learned to pick out whatever will give YOU the most pleasure. This event is FREE to all Ryerson students and spots are limited, so sign up here.
